In order to impress the school's fashionistas, McKenna, an underprivileged loner, finds a dead fox on the side of the road, sparking an idea in her to use roadkill to create the clothes she can't afford.

Meet the Director: Graham Bennett

Hello! My name is Graham Bennett, and I am the director and writer for the short film Runway Kill!

The film uses a unique premise about finding roadkill to make high-end clothing and questions the morals of fast fashion, as well as depicting the lengths to which people will go to fit in. It is a witty dark comedy that satirically makes fun of consumerism and how wasteful it can be.

You never wear the same things twice.
- Graham Bennett

Using roadkill as the device to make the fake clothes also brings into question the harm people can do simply out of negligence, and what the fashion industry does to look pretty. I wanted to make this film because I think it is a really interesting approach to tackling this subject. I, for one, have a big appreciation for fashion; the industry has some major flaws that need to be addressed, and that is what this film is about.
